The film is about three Russian Officers with different backgrounds, who converge at the Khmeimim military base, involved with the shootdown of a Russian Su-24 by a Turkish F-16 over Turko-Syrian airspace in 2015, and the rescue of the crew shortly after. Lieutenant Colonel Soshnikov and Captain Muravyov are two different characters, two different fates, who are destined to meet at the Khmeimim military base.
