My dad worked in the plant in Windsor Ontario where these cars were built. When I was a kid I remember my dad saying it was the poor mans luxury car. He liked the look of them in black with a t bar roof option

Hey. I live in Calgary too. Your Kijiji ad brought me here. New sub! I have been through this with a 1977 Mercedes 280, parts and body were a nightmare to source.

Actually, I got 2, a 76 and a 77, and I love them both. Great cars, I drive them every other week. Not daily drivers, just my play cars

Many of us have been there. 🙂
Too bad 1977 is too new to be a stylish derelict car, otherwise someone can just throw some acid on it, seal the finish and call it a day.
