I made this so Philippines can actually be a good character, and not just a tool to ship with or create an image of ‘flawless girl trope that everyone is in love with’.
I want Philippines to also be her own character. (Unlike a few years ago, where the Hetalia version, she is shipped with literally everyone, and we, are just repeating that.)
I want to break the cycle. I want to give her her own story.
I don’t want Countryhumans to be composed entirely of shipping.
I don’t want to portray her like that.
Most of you portray her as a Mary Sue. A Mary Sue is a female character, usually an OC, found in fanfics, who's just too perfect that she's annoying. You know, that type of character who's gorgeous, intelligent, talented, incredibly skilled, and kind all at the same time? Mary Sues tend to take the spotlight almost everytime, whether they may be a main character or just a minor one.
Also, tf? I can’t even browse for Countryhumans normally without seeing Sunshine Harem in the recommendations D:
That’s why I don’t ship her with anyone :’).
If you are one of those rare people who actually gives her flaws and mistakes, then bravo! You’re actually awared!
TL;DR: Philippines is overrated.
