Ok, I am probably going to start a second Revolutionary War or perhaps WWIII, but I don't have crumpet rings, so I used this recipe, but I then committed what some may see as utter blasphemy.

I put 6 ramekins in my oven-style air fryer at 350 for 5 minutes to get them good and hot, then slathered butter over the insides and divided the batter amongst them. 350degrees f for 10 minutes and mm mm mm mm mmmmmm.

I just made these are they were great! I didn't get the cooking perfect, but we loved them and I'll probably be making them twice a week from now on because we live on crumpets! Thank you! ❤😊

That is a proper crumpet recipe! Far too many YouTube recipes are almost devoid of proper bubbling on top and have the wrong ratio of ingredients. Yours looks great. Well done!

Some recipes say to use baking soda, don't do it, the texture of the crumpet isn't right AND they taste bloody awful, always,always use baking powder
