Joey's reaction reminds me of the first time I made tomato sauce for my father. I was about 13yo, and I wanted to make some potato sauce, but my mother would never teach me the receipt, so I decided to just make it myself by remembering what I saw her do. My dad came back home and saw me sadly mixing the pan. he asked what was it and I said "I made some tomato sauce, but it tastes horrible, so I'm trying to fix it". He said "Let me have a taste" and got some, then he said "It's good" and ate the whole thing. Until this day I don't know if he actually liked it or was just being nice to me, but he did really eat everything and it was kinda of a lot.
