God Games | EPIC The Musical | Animatic

I’ve been waiting for this song to be released for so long! And now, my take on it is finally here! I ended up reusing my old animatic of the Hera, Aphrodite & Ares section because I just can’t picture it any other way. Even though Hera sounds a bit different from the demo version in her delivery, it still works.

It’s funny—my first Epic animatic was Hera, and I swear I had no idea so many of you would like my content. Even less did I expect that Jorge would commission me to make the animatic for the livestreams! Its like a wonderful circle! Never thought I would be here as it is. Thank you all for watching and liking my content!

I like ares asking if she's dead knowing full well there very immortal

@DianaDawnDestiny

OMG I LOVE THESE DETAILS?!
1:06 The people hanging on Ares' spear were GENIUS!! It in a way, shows how violent Ares is, but they still kts by hanging themselves, or going to war. Ares, while being responsible for their death as the god of violent war, never asked for their death specifically, and shows that they sacrificed themselves by going to war (might be an overthinker here lol)
1:24 Here, unlike Aphrodite, he doesn't half transform into anything. Apollo's movements are graceful on their own, showing the grace and elegance expected from a god of poetry and prophecy. His elfish looks also represent how handsome he is canonically
1:49 THE PROSTHETIC?! IT LOOKS AMAZING IN GENERAL OMG!!!
2:23 Aph looks so much like she's attempting to seduce Athena, which makes sense considering her biggest strength is her beauty, and she no doubt uses it to get what she wants.
2:32 The way Athena looks down on Ares, because Athena thinks she's much better than Ares, and also, Ares is one of the most looked down upon Olympians. (bro has been threatened with literal TARTARUS before)
2:36 The way Ares' face is hidden, and he puts his war helm on in Aph's room, it shows how Ares is comfortable without his war helmet with Aphrodite, and this is a huge thing, cuz Ares doesn't remove his war helmet in public, at all (The only depictions of his face we get are I believe with Aphrodite, or inspired by the paintings of Ares and Aphrodite)
2:40 Ares rushes to close combat with Athena, because as stupid as he is, he knows that his advantage is only based on surprise and fear. His movements are all fast and designed to attack, representing how Ares is violent, but considered below Athena. He's smart in battle
2:49 You can see Athena's face getting over the initial surprise Ares had over her
3:13 I just love the way her body goes from demonic possession to normal and bobs a bit here. (Oh the simple pleasures of an animator)
4:05 Athena's look of terror is both funny and realistic, like she's going 'Oh sh*t'
4:10 THE TRANSFORMATIONS AHHHHH
4:12 I love how they're standing in the order of how well they can handle Zeus' wrath. Ares is closest since he deals with it regularly, and is pretty strong as a god of war. Apollo is next since he's the most powerful one of Zeus' sons (and I think he's pissed Zeus off a bit too), followed by Hephaestus who's strong from working, and can control fire, but is at a disadvantage due to lack of leg. And Aphrodite is at the end, because she can't handle Zeus, she's the weakest in this situation. Hera stands alone, because she's his wife, and knows how to deal with him like Ares.
4:20 the resemblance to Medusa CAN NOT be a coincidence here, that was just pure irony, and also, the demon that possessed her in Ares' part (jk, she's a demon on her own)
4:22 I love how Ares is the only one shielding the rest, as if, y'all don't need to go through this stuff. when he moves his cape at 4:23, you can see that no one else protects the others, although Aph is hiding herself behind Hephaestus. It also represents the way he acts as a sort of monster at the front of the war, protecting the weaklings at the back
4:49 Athena's look of disgust is everything omg, it's like she boutta yeet this baby off the building
5:12 Zeus doesn't shove Athena off, which he probably would've done if it were Ares. Golden child much?
This might've all been an over analysis lol

@ItzEclipsed

Is….Athena dead? I need answers because I’m currently watching any god games animatic there is to try and find an answer.
