A 4 point line would make layups and and mid range shots useless because it is worth double that and everyone would just grind to learn how to shoot from half court and the defenders would start defending from the enemy half it would make the game basically happen in 1/4 the area of the field it’s already nearly liek that with the 3 point and a 4 point would just take the meta

Yes,but if u add a 4 point line it would make dunking and going for layups and floaters worthless

Believe me, it's horrible to have four pointer. I'm from the Philippines, and I'm a fan of both PBA and NBA, and I think the four point line will just ruin the basketball.
