The FE best Banks awards have always honoured the country’s best lending institutions. The winners, across categories such as banks, Non Banking Financial Companies, Small Finance Banks and Fintechs, are all selected by an independent jury. The jury is supported by information collated and checked by EY, which is based on three years of Reserve Bank of India data. In addition to financial metrics, other parameters such corporate governance and are also taken into consideration. Apart from awards for the leaders in the various sectors, the jury also selects the country’s best digital lenders and the best banking products. For 2022-2023, the jury was headed by S Ramadorai, former VC, Tata Consultancy Services, Amit Chandra, Chairman, Bain Capital, Pradip Shah, Chairman IndAsia Fund Advisors and B Mahapatra, former ED, Reserve Bank of India, Sharad Sharma, Founder ISpirt.
