“Middle East on brink of catastrophe” says UN with fears of all-out war | BBC News

The United Nations is warning that the Middle East is on the brink of imminent catastrophe, with fears of escalation into an all-out war.

Israel and the Hezbollah militia-group in Lebanon have continued to exchange fire across the border. Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, launched more than 100 rockets into Israel in retaliation for the attacks in Lebanon using exploding pagers and radio handsets, which killed dozens and injured hundreds more. Israel struck targets in northern Lebanon, saying it had destroyed thousands of rocket launch sites.

Reeta Chakrabarti presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Orla Guerin in Beirut and Jeremy Bowen in Jerusalem.

Hezbollah terrorists have children and wives who have the same ideology as the terrorists, so if they are killed of course their children and wives will both die because they are fighting for the same ideology, namely hatred, sadism and racism… Hezbollah will go to hell

And all thanks to the UK, what an anomaly you people are.

The BBC has been simply incapable of admitting to itself from the outset that this conflict has gone disastrously for Hamas, who have achieved nothing through and since 7 October. The supposedly impartial organization is now trying to put on a brave face on behalf of Hezbollah, who in truth are reeling in shock at how their operatives were taken out in a stunning lapse in security, at how they are losing top level commanders to assassination strikes, at how their rocket and missile batteries are being knocked out from the air.

Yes, we get that it's fashionable in liberal circles and among crypto-Jew haters to wish ill on Israel, but the facts and the reality of the situation are inescapable. One hears Jeremy Bowen report with dismay at Hezbollah's reversals, and then talk about a diplomatic solution as a way to save them; yet not once have I heard him or his organization discuss the diplomatic advisability that Hamas surrender. Given that Hamas triggered this war, given that its stated purpose is to commit genocide "between the river and the sea", and given that it refuses to surrender, is precisely the reason and the extent to which Israel is given to pursue its objectives ruthlessly and with utterly serious existential intent.

Lebanon used to run by multi faith group but now HEZBOLLAH took over.

Iran backed them to launch war with Israel. Are those rockets fired to Israel just a mere unintentional?

The Israeli bots in the comments section are at work.

The entire Middle East is a cesspool of poverty, violemce, and destruction. This is what the "religion of peace" brings wherever it goes.
