Putin Says India, China, Brazil Can Mediate Ukraine-Russia Talks | Subscribe to Firstpost
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he is ready to hold talks with Ukraine. He has named three countries that can potentially broker a truce. The Russian President said India, China or Brazil could act as potential mediators for the Ukraine-Russia war. He said that he is constantly in touch with these three nations. The remarks were made during Russia’s Eastern Economic Forum in the city of Vladivostok. Putin said the agreements made during the Istanbul talks could serve as the basis for negotiations. In 2022, Russia and Ukraine held talks in Istanbul, but the terms of those negotiations were never made public. Putin’s remarks followed Indian PM Narendra Modi’s July visit to Russia and Ukraine in August. PM Modi urged Ukraine and Russia for a dialogue during his Kyiv visit.
