It would’ve been an amazing bait and switch if it turned out to be a story of realizing your parents are holding you back and handicapping your childhood. Like Dark Titan turns out to have two parents who use him for their own purposes, and he woes for the fact he has little to gain and a childhood he misses out on. And this inspires Ryan to go and call it off in a big anime sequence where he defeats his parents or smthn idk.
