Sky News on board Philippine vessel attacked with water cannon

Sky’s Cordelia Lynch was on board a Philippine coastguard boat when it was doused in water fired by a Chinese vessel.

The attack broke the roof of the coastguard boat and left journalists onboard drenched.

The incident happened in the disputed South China Sea.

Experts warn the sea is becoming a flashpoint between China, the US and neighbouring nations such as Japan, the Philippines and Taiwan.
