@Gottaculat

A friend of our family tried to enlist to be a fighter jet pilot.
He ended up being assigned to a C17 pilot. His heart was broken.
I gotta wonder if he's now feeling a bit more badass about flying "cargo."

@razorsrequiem

Imagine being able to contract UPS to double your combat effectiveness just because.

BTW…an E-6 making $41K a year is misleading. That number would be base pay only; add another $30K+/- in BAH tax free, and you have the actual compensation. (I retired in 2017 as an E-6 with 21 years and I was making about $80K all in with flight pay – as a 1A2X1 Loadmaster. And the Loadmaster not the Crew Chief is in fact the one doing the yeeting. The "chief" actually knows more about the jet than anyone else on the crew BTW making it a crime in my book that he/she doesn't get flight pay unless that changed.)
