A digital currency can be used to quickly transfer money securely and with low cost around the world.
It's very strange but someone has always paid more for gold later on. Why. Because government has always created mischief in economy. Always printed more money. Always reduced purchasing power of money. And gold has provided hedge against bad economy and bad handling of money.

Do people buy gold with the hope that someone pay them more for it later or they buy it as a hedge against inflation?
