This could either become a western NATO/EU supported statelet or part of Poland or Lith. Russian occupied Karelia could/should be restored to Finland if Russia fragments. Even St Pete might want to be a prosperous, western leaning independent ethnic Russian state. The overhanging question for these areas do you want to be prosperous & free or oppressed and poor?

I don´t think Kaliningrad will be a state, It has no many interest for any one. We don´t want to have another conflict but Rusia is not strong anymore and will take years to rebuilt their army in the previous state, bat they have big mouth so …
I have been living in Elblag so I was close to Kaliningrad and I cannot visit it, because in 2022 they change some rules they told me and I was not able to enter. It dosen´t matter. Bt it would be a good experience to visit that area.

Mam. The bit about history of Kaliningrad was very weak. Fistly Teutonic order was invited there by Poles. Than after centuries of german influence it badane a heart of Prussia – you know the place where the Keizers came from.

Isn't it illegal under international law to change the names of places? It sboild be called Kronenburg not Kaliningrad

As Germany was originally unified and new borders created under Prince Otto Van Bismarck back in 1874. Later East Germany was re-unified in 1989. Shouldn't Konigsberg also be re-unified as East Prussia as a city under German leadership if the city should be freed from the Russian's rule. The city was after all founded in 1255 by the Teutonic Knights on the site of the Old Prussian settlement of Twangste. It was Prussian territory under Kathrine the Greats rule of Russia.
