Mr brittishman dont invent a new usage for the word scandinavia. Just call it the nordics if you want to include finland.

@Bramsborg

I like the fact, that the Nordics is being portrayed as week, compared to Russia. Simply because being the underdog present some favors.

Any decent military scholar will tell you that troop specialization, troop physical training and troop morale is more important than numbers… If you don't believe this, just look at the numbers between Ukraine and Russia! – The latter should, if numbers were the only factor, have won after 3 months..

The training of each of our nordic countries armies, which would demand different strategic and tactical plans to conquer, is highly specialized to each countrys geography. Other parts of each army, has been deployed to far-away war-torn countries via NATO and as such has their own distinct fighting "styles" – let alone their veteran capabilities (less prone to acute fear etc.).

Another (non-disclosed) part of the Nordic defence is, that the total number of civilian weapons is EXTREMELY high in at least 3 of these countries. Though Denmark is the smallest and probably have the second-most restrictive weapon law, they have approximately a registered 500 000 civilian hunting weapons in circulation. Note the "approximately" here.. The law in Denmark says, that only rifles has to be registered, once you have a hunters weapons pemit. It is estimated that there's at least 250 000 "other firearms" in circulation. Though there is a law prohibiting the amount of ammunition, it is fair to speculate, that most hunters have AT LEAST the legal amount of ammo, due to the russian aggression towards Ukraine.

Oh – and Denmark also have 40 000 "out of service veterans" from Afghanistan, Iraq and the Balkans.

..And Denmark is the smallest of the countries! (Measured in registered military capacity)
