Former President Donald Trump lauded a wealthy donor on whom he bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom as having gotten the “better” award compared to the top military honor, the Medal of Honor, because those recipients are often deceased or injured. The Morning Joe panel discusses Trump’s insult against veterans.

So they only have that and they are going off from liberal press lol yeah okay. He didn't even bash the vets. He was explaining what that medal was. Simple as that.

Meaning that person got it without a pay check. He didn't say anything wrong in the first statement.

The one thing that I teach me children since they were little is to learn how to think, not what to think. The media tells you what things are so that you do not have to think or wonder. The will tell you what some meant by what they said or did vs allowing you to take it in and determine for yourself what it really is. It is a must that we teach critical thinking so that we can recognize propaganda at face value. They cannot state Trumps reading for what he did or said no more than they can tell you your reason for doing or what you say. Don’t interpret what it is media. Invite the person in the show, ask the question and then you will get the answer straight from the horse mouth without having to decipher what you think it is.

I am a Marine Corp veteran. What are your thoughts on what he said?

I think what he was saying is that anyone that goes to war and gets shot or is killed gets the metal of honor. Say for example, a marine fresh out of boot camp has to go to Iraq and he gets shot or killed on day one. He or she gets a metal of honor without having to do anything but get hit by a bullet or killed. Whereas, in order for a civilian to get it, they have to do much more to receive the equivalent metal of honor.

I also think that having a parade with dismembered veterans would not be a good look. That could turn Americans against war, the military, etc. if the see the damages that war causes in real life.

When you talk about Israel defending themselves that’s fine. However, when you continue to bomb a country and do it aggressively, it is no longer defense. Israel is now on offense and Palestine is now on defense.

Think of football. When the defense gets an interception they are now on offense and the other dates an offense becomes the defense. What Israel is doing is no longer defense; they are the aggressors. Defense is like protecting the end zone from an offensive score.

We need critical thinking here. Something that is not taught in schools for good reason. That is, most will buy anything that they are selling.

… if you understand it’s better to be recognized with all body parts in tack than to have given body parts and death to receive a medal. What’s crazy is giving your life for your country and getting a medal for your sacrifice. What’s crazy is giving an arm and getting a medal for your sacrifice. What’s crazy is giving the literal skin off your body and getting a medal for your sacrifice – if I had a choice I’d rather receive a medal than sacrifice quality of life and get a medal – I’d want my better quality of life. ..so yes it is better because she didn’t lose limb or life but she sacrificed for country and all of us who served sacrificed for country. ..and that’s what he means. I’m a veteran and served in Afghanistan as a civilian and was a military active duty member who has a disability and if I had a choice I’d chose a whole better quality of life over a medal – and I too have a high honor medal for my service. Everyone who goes into battle receives a medal/ribbon those who are injured recipe a Purple Heart and possible a star of honor my uncles got Purple Hearts in WWII and were totally messed up and I bet they’d trade that Purple Heart in for a right mind and no poop bag. So that’s what he means and once again the media twists it. There is no finer President who loves our military.

And HE'S Presidential?? Still desecrating the memories of our Veterans who gave their all. HE is weak and evil, along with all who support this man.
