They endorse her because they are ignorant about what socialism means.

When I was in high school, my Social Studies Teacher ask us all if you and your family were hungry and someone said they would give you food for your vote would you most said yes and he went off saying never give up your vote because it's not only one of the most important things you have but also can bring the change we all need.
