I've always disliked the phrase "pay yourself first" as it can easily be misinterpreted as indulging in immediate wants rather than prioritising your future.

Personally, I think a phrase like "fund you future first" is better. It leaves it open to interpretation for things like spending on education or investing the stocks and shares but is still as punchy as the original saying.

Just had to get that off my chest 😅
