Your weekend isn't theirs to "protect" for you, it's your weekend. You should be talking about stolen weekends. Ironic that financiers are responsible for helping destroy the same unions it sounds like they want.

Former IB for top shop. Banking is not for smart people on avg. There are incredibly bright people in banking but mostly it is just the partners and global heads. Almost everyone you work with leaves within 2 years and goes to PE. Some can make it into HFs but even fewer. Banking is easy but long work filled with assholes who never learned how to communicate. Imagine dating someone verbally abusive every day who enjoys punishing you. If you want to work in banking for exit ops thats fine but you will hate your life without exception. It is a horrendous job. PE has far more tangible skills but is almost as terrible as banking.

Why the F you listening to the affirmative blacktion hire

How you guys are glorifying work for IB or PE here is just a complete joke. You worked so hard fornthese jobs just to find that the companies burn you out, suck every time in your youth that you have and spit you out. Not very sustainable is it? You are Jokers for presenting these Jobs as something good. Im an engineering myself which is now working partially in PE. Im gaining more per hour (actually exceptionally more) then you guys are doing AND I have a life. So my advise for people seeing this is stop running after the herd, there are too many people already trying to get into these jobs. Take some risky, do something new that you enjoy and dont let someone tell you what you can and cant. These 2 guys here are intelligent but actually not smart at all.
