Shout out to Payton Pritchard, he clearly loves the game. He puts in the work and that's why he is so fun to watch.
First of all, today’s NBA players are glorified college players.
Secondly, Basketball today is boring! We’ve seen every trick in the book by now, and today’s players have ZERO character. They have no personalities or charisma.
It shows in their approach to the game. They just play and collect their checks. Their fundamentals suck and very few of them can shoot a textbook-J.
They don’t know their cuts (there are about 20), never throw the bounce pass, never bank shots, and shoot poorly from the line because the concentration isn’t there. Even LeBron’s footwork is horrible, and the typical NBA player takes no pride in playing defense.
They’re lazy, spoiled, waaaaay overpaid, and self-centered.
The players of the past knew how to put on a show on and off the court.
Michael Jordan as…Michael Jordan. Penny Hardaway as Li’l Penny.
Larry Johnson as Gra’mamma.
Gary Payton as the Glove.
Dennis Rodman as the Worm.
Tyrone Bogues being Mugsy.
The cool, good-looking guys like Grant Hill and Clyde Drexler were the ultimate team leaders.
Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, and Hakeem Olajuwon came with hard hats, and they were so charismatic as centers that they were known by single names. Today, Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo can say the same, but only because they’re foreign phenoms.
There’s no Mugsy Bogues or Spud Webb in today’s game, or even a Nate Robinson.
In the 1990s, you wanted to see Charles Barkley, Shaq, and Magic.
Magic barely played in the 1990s and wasn’t even the same player when he returned to the Lakers as a forward. Yet, we were still interested in him.
Magic and Michael are bigger stars than the top active players of today and still earn more money off the court than they did on it.
Other than maybe Stepping h Curry, what player of today will do that? Who will have the top-selling sneaker in 20 years? My guess is Michael Jordan!
Today’s NBA sucks because today’s players are Millennials on their last legs Gen-Zers who never learned the virtues of paying dues. How could they when many were multimillionaires by age 17 even if they shouldn’t have been?
And they never learned how to stay humble.

That’s because the celebrity lifestyle has become so huge it’s more money and fun
