how can i join the us army being an italian who lives in italy?

@noahherrera7281

I'm twenty four years old. I don't have a highschool diploma or my GED. Is there anyway I can join? I've always wanted to join the military. I almost applied when I was 18, however I backed out, but I don't want to regret not at least trying to join the military. Any advice?

@lissainlenoir

Did my 20 as a straight reservist for the Navy. From 2001 to 2021. Just 1.5 months before my retirement came through, I was being threatened with dishonorable discharge because I refused to take any covid vaccine, based on personal knowledge of how it had severely sickened and permanently damaged people I knew. I did manage to retire but only because I had stealthily beat their deadline ….if I didn't take a vaccine by December 24, 2021 I would be kicked out ….but PERS at Millington, Tennessee executed my retirement on 01NOV21. Now I hear DoD doesn't require the covid vaccines anymore but it's too late to save the careers of thousands of dedicated personnel who were forced out, most of them officers.

billions of dollars to other countries. . , yet no pay raise for military . . . old veteran

@mignas

If you get rotated often and have a family, get your kids a psychologist. Trauma of moving and letting friends go is insane.

Sounds to me like the sacrifices required in the military are (almost) the same sacrifices that are faced every day by simply being poor.

So, I think the sacrifices are worth it for me personally.

I don’t regret joining the Navy. Definitely not saying I would recommend (being stuck in a ship months at a time with the same people can be really detrimental) but I personally knew what I was getting into. The Navy serve its purpose as a stepping stone for school, work ethic, and monetarily that I can’t never truly say I regretted. Well I do regret not retaking the asvab for the air force, but thats more on me as an individual for giving up on a dream.
